PokéAPI's Generation I endpoint lists 151 species. The paste box contains their names, adapted for a drawing game.

Research notes

Both the Generation I endpoint and the pokemon endpoint were checked on 13 October 2026. The latter's count of 1,351 includes form records and is not the number of species in the National Pokédex. Generation I contains 151 species.

Published input rules

Paste the 151 names into Custom words. The sample exceeds the published 10-item minimum, each entry is within 32 characters, and the whole string is below 10,000. The current input allows 20,000; the older translation says 10,000. Server boundary acceptance was not tested.

Names are adapted as drawing prompts: hyphens become spaces, Farfetchd omits the apostrophe, Mr Mime omits the period, and Nidoran F/M replaces the gender symbols. Use the pasted spelling for your group; this does not guarantee every original-name variant is accepted.

Questions

Is this every Pokémon?

No. This is Generation I only, 151 species. The pokemon endpoint also includes forms, so its total is not a species total.

Can I add later generations?

Yes. Use the Generation or Pokemon Species endpoints and keep each name at 1–32 characters, separated by commas.
