You are already connected to this room

The client reports an already-existing connection to this room. Check any open game tabs before trying the invite again.

Research notes

The sentence appears among join errors in game.js, separately from the maintenance and Room not found messages. A second game tab is one possible explanation; the strings do not establish every trigger or a guaranteed recovery time.

What to do

Go back to the tab that is already in the room. If that tab is frozen, close it, wait for the disconnect, and open the invite once.

A second device is a different case. Two people in one house can still hit “Too many users from your IP are connected to this room!” which is a separate string.

Questions

Does this prove the game is down?

The message alone does not establish an outage. The client has separate maintenance wording and an internal 503 label; that label is not evidence of an HTTP response observed here.

I only have one tab.

Check for a restored or background game tab. Close game tabs, then retry the invite once. If the message persists, ask the host to check the connection; no fixed reset time is published in the reviewed sources.
